Welcome to planDisney, Kathleen!
I like to joke with my kids about capturing our vacation memories: Did we even go to Walt Disney World if we didn’t take any photos? Well, Memory Maker, which includes Disney PhotoPass photos, is the best way to seamlessly commemorate those magical moments. Let’s dive right into how to view and download your photos.
First things first, if you want to have Memory Maker ready to go for your February vacation, I recommend that you
purchase it in advance. You can get it at a discounted cost, and those saved coins can go toward Disney treats and souvenirs. If it doesn’t link automatically to your Disney account, you can link your purchase via the
online linking tool on the Walt Disney World website.
Then comes the fun part: Enjoy your vacation! Make sure you say “cheese” while riding certain attractions because many have on-ride photos. And if you see a Disney PhotoPass photographer at a location that excites you, ask them to take your party’s photos. I especially love getting my family’s photos taken in front of iconic spots like the Hollywood Tower Hotel, Cinderella Castle, and the Tree of Life. After your photo is taken, you’ll be asked to scan your MagicBand+, theme park ticket, or MagicMobile device to make sure your photo pops up in your gallery.
Now, how can you access said gallery? You can find your photos on the Disney PhotoPass website and in the
My Disney Experience Mobile App. The quicker (and my favorite) way to see your shots are in the app. Open the app, click on the three horizontal bars in the lower right corner, and scroll down to “Photo Gallery” under the “Disney PhotoPass” section. From there, edit, save, or share your photos.
AN EXTRA GEM: If you want to download multiple photos at a time, go to the Disney
PhotoPass desktop website. You can see how to easily do this by checking out one of my
previous answers.
