Hi Ashley, and welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad that you stopped by with your great
Magic Key holder question, I'd be more than happy to help you out with the details.
If you are a Magic Key holder, there is no additional cost to make
theme park reservations. They are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, so I recommend locking in those dates as soon as you know when you'll be back visiting the "Happiest Place on Earth!"
The number of theme park reservations as well as the dates available to make reservations will be dependent on the type of Magic Key pass you have. You can browse the
Magic Key calendar to see the blockout dates for each pass type, and currently, only the
Inspire Key pass is available for new purchases, the others are only available for renewal as of now. I would keep an eye on the official
Disneyland Magic Key Instagram account for the latest news.
Also, if you are lucky enough to purchase a Magic Key pass, it is only valid for the individual that purchases the pass, any immediate family members or friends looking to join you would need a separate
theme park ticket and park reservation under their own name and account.
If you're looking for a great option that would combine both theme park tickets and a hotel stay, I highly recommend browsing both the
Disneyland Resort Hotel Vacation Packages, as well as the
Disney Good Neighbor Hotel Packages. Many of the hotels have a great pool on-site, and it is a great way to relax and unwind if you're visiting during the warmer month of July! I always recommend adding in a day of rest at your hotel if you are visiting for several days to recharge and rest up, my feet always need it!
I hope this information was helpful for your trip planning Ashley, and please do not hesitate to come back and
ask me any other questions about your upcoming vacation!
Have a magical day!
Melissa
