Hi Joanna and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks for bringing us your question about Walt Disney World Resort MagicBands!
I find MagicBands to be the most convenient accessory when visiting Walt Disney World Resort theme parks. Our theme park ticket and FastPass+ information can be found on the band with no need to pull out our plastic card tickets. While you do not need one to be able to access your important information, they’re easy to use and you can find really cute ones on the
Shop Disney Parks site before your trip! They also make for a great souvenir!
If you do decide to purchase some bands, make sure to
link them to your My Disney Experience account before your visit!
When it comes to your two-year-old, guests under the age of three are Mickey’s special guests and adults are not required to buy a park ticket for them. At that age, the MagicBand would just be for decoration. However, I know my toddler wanted a MagicBand when she noticed her big sister had one too!
Joanna, another good thing to note is that your toddler is welcome to share meals at table service restaurants with you and others at the table. There’s no need to purchase a separate meal for them if you don’t want to.
As you continue with your plans, I encourage you to take a look at some
experiences designed with your Mouseketeer in mind!
I hope this information is helpful to you! Come back to see us anytime if you have any more questions!
