Can I purchase magic bands with a Disney gift card?

Hi there Toni Lynn, and welcome back to planDisney!

Bees will buzz, kids will blow dandelion fuzz, and you'll be going to Walt Disney World in summer! You must be so excited that your adventure is almost here. Like you, my family will be traveling to the Most Magical Place on Earth during Olaf's favorite season, and I just took care of our MagicBand order yesterday.

I love using Disney Gift Cards to cover the majority of my expenses on vacation. We use a combination of Disney Visa Rewards dollars and gift cards accumulated throughout the year to pay for meals, snacks, and souvenEARs. There are only a few things you can't use a Disney Gift Card to pay for, and online pre-arrival MagicBand orders unfortunately are one. The only payment method accepted for this transaction is a credit or debit card.

Toni Lynn, if you prefer to use a Disney Gift Card for your MagicBand purchase, you always have the option to browse shopDisney or check out the gift shop of your resort. You won't be eligible for the pre-arrival discount, but you might find an even wider variety of styles and designs based on specific attractions or resort hotels

I hope this is helpful as you make final preparations for your journey next month. Summer is such an exciting time to vacation in Walt Disney World. You can feel the joy as families celebrate the end of another school year. Thanks for stopping by planDisney, and we can't wait to welcome you home real soon.

    Have a magical day,
    Betsy

Greetings! I'm Betsy, a middle school teacher, wife, and mom of two. My family and I love to travel the world, but our best memories are those made when we're visiting Walt Disney World or Disneyland Resort. No matter how many times we visit, there is always something new to see, ride, or eat at the Disney Parks. Learn More About Betsy
