Unfortunately, no pre-arrival discounted price is offered for
MagicBand+ orders at this time. Since your visit is just days away, if you’d like a MagicBand+, you can purchase it in a
Walt Disney World merchandise location in the theme parks, Disney Springs, or Resorts. They can be linked to your MyDisney account in just a few minutes, so it won’t take up too much of your theme park time. After purchasing your band, pull off to the side somewhere and
follow the instructions in the app to link your band. If you’re throwing away the packaging right away, make sure you don’t throw out the charger, you’ll need that to charge your band between theme park days!
If you’re planning another visit to Walt Disney World in the future, you can still place a MagicBand+ order in advance. However, the order must be placed at least 6 days before your arrival. MagicBand+ orders placed 11 or more days prior to your reservation will be shipped to your home. Orders placed 6-10 days before your check-in will be shipped to your Disney Resort, where you can pick them up at the Front Desk. You can also place an order through
DisneyStore.com. Whichever option you choose, I recommend ordering in advance, just to allow for any shipping time out of Disney’s control.
I think purchasing a MagicBand+ is a great idea for your trip! I was reading about this year’s
Christmas Tree Stroll at Disney Springs, and some of the trees can interact with your MagicBand+! Since you’re staying at a Disney Resort, you can also use your MagicBand+ to unlock your Resort door and charge purchases in the theme park to the payment card linked to your Resort room.
