    Can I purchase a magic band without a WDW park ticket?

    Welcome to planDisney, David, and thank you for your question about purchasing a MagicBand/MagicBand+ without a Walt Disney World Resort theme park ticket.

    You will be happy to know that there is no requirement to have a theme park ticket if you are interested in purchasing a MagicBand or MagicBand+. Here are some places you can find the perfect band for your next vacation or the perfect gift for your favorite Disney traveler:
    David, as you may or may not know, the MagicBand or MagicBand+ can be used for more than just entry into the theme parks. You can unlock your Disney Resort room, make purchases using the payment method on file at your Disney Resort room, and if you choose the MagicBand+ option, your band will interact with certain nighttime spectaculars when you do use your band in the parks!
