Hello Sallie! Thanks for bringing your great question to planDisney!
I actually love my
MagicBand+ since it's so different from the watch that I wear every day that is always sending me notifications. I know the feeling when your wrist is constantly buzzing with those updates.
The good news is that your MagicBand+ does not send you notifications, it's really just a helpful way to easily enter both theme parks, as well as scan into Lightning Lane entrances if you purchase
Lightning Lane Multi Pass or Lightning Lane Single Pass. I always love that it saves my mobile phone battery throughout the day since I don't need to keep pulling out my phone!
It also will vibrate during certain nighttime spectaculars such as Fantasmic! and World of Color, and at other points throughout the parks, it's always a fun surprise. I've never found it overwhelming or distracting, and there's step by step directions on how to
setup and pair your MagicBand+ before your visit. It will also come with a charger, and I usually just charge it overnight or when I'm done visiting the parks for the day.
You also will need a
theme park reservation for each day you plan on visiting Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park. As you plan your trip, the
theme park reservation calendar will be a great resource to help plan your days, and you will need both a valid theme park ticket and theme park reservation.
I hope this helps answer your question, Sallie! Don't hesitate to
come back and ask us any other questions for your magical vacation.
Have a magical day!
Melissa
