To order a MagicBand for just one person in your group, go to the
My MagicBands and Cards page under the My Disney Experience menu. Then, click the blue “Get Started” button, followed by the blue “Select” button under your name, since you’re the one who wants a band. Choose the band you’d like, enter the name you want written on the back, and then press the “Complete” button. Next, click the “Select” button under another name on your reservation and choose the blue “Decline a MagicBand” option under “[insert name here]’s MagicBand.” Then, select “Decline Pre-Arrival Offer.” Once you’ve done this for all members of your travel party who do not want a band, you can click the “Proceed to Checkout” button and follow the prompts to complete your purchase. Please note that once this process has been completed, you cannot change your order or select a band for anyone for whom you declined the offer.
That last part of the process is actually something I once forgot to do, and I ended up having to go without a new MagicBand on my trip. Well, that’s not entirely true, because I pivoted and bought one from the
Disney Store! Surprisingly, I’m not typically a huge collector of any one type of souvenir, but I do have a weakness for these magical accessories. There’s just something about having a new one on your wrist during your trip that hits different. Of course, as someone who loves to
DisneyBound, I usually pack a few to coordinate with my outfits!
