Welcome to planDisney, Laura!
There are not many more sleeps until you'll be off to Neverland! I bet you're already struggling to fall asleep due to all the excitement. Mickey and his pals can't wait for you to arrive.
Make sure you check out the newest attraction,
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT. I had the joy of experiencing this groovy ride a few weeks ago and I'm still living off the endorphins. You're going to love it!
I see you have a question about the Lightning Lanes. There are a couple of options you have, Laura. so let me do my best to break it down for you:
By purchasing
Disney Genie+, you're able to gain "phenomenal cosmic powers" for your Disney day. This service enables you to select Lightning Lane entrances at over 40 attractions throughout the Theme Parks. Starting at 7:00 AM on the day of your visit, you'll be able to make your first Lightning Lane selection of the day. Once you enjoy that attraction, or two hours after making your selection (whatever comes first), you'll be able to make another Lightning Lane selection. You can do that throughout the day until there are no more Lightning Lane selections available. Currently, Disney is saying that Guests should expect to experience two to three Lightning Lane entrances a day with Disney Genie+.
If you'd like even extra "heavy ammunition in your camp," then you can purchase
Individual Lightning Lane entrances. These are available for some of the more high-demand attractions in the Theme Parks. As of now, each Theme Park has two attractions that have Individual Lightning Lanes. You don't need to purchase Disney Genie+ to use this service. However, please note that, even if you have Disney Genie+, Individual Lightning Lanes do cost extra. The cost of each Individual Lightning Lane
varies by attraction. One more thing to note: Since availability is limited, you'll want to book your Individual Lightning Lanes earlier in the day so that you don't miss out. If you're staying at a Disney Resort, you can purchase Individual Lightning Lanes from 7:00 AM on the day of your visit. If you're staying offsite, then you will have to wait until the park opens.
I hope that's helpful, Laura. If you have any follow-up questions, please feel free to reach out again. We'd love to serve you as you plan your upcoming trip.
See ya real soon!
Mike
