When I purchase lightning lane single pass, will that pass be on my magic band right away?

Welcome back to planDisney, Ariel. Thanks for bringing us another great question!

I see that my planDisney pal David recently answered your question on how to purchase a Lightning Lane Multi Pass, and I am happy to answer this question for you. When you purchase a Lightning Lane Single Pass, you will select a return time for the attraction. It might be right away or it may be later in the day, depending on availability. When it's time for your return time, and as long as you have linked your MagicBand+ to your ticket, you should be able to use your MagicBand+ at the attraction... even if you have only just purchased the Lightning Lane Single Pass.

To be sure that your MagicBand+ is paired to your ticket, log into your MyDisney Account in the Disneyland Mobile App, and click the three horizontal lines (☰) icon at the bottom right of the home screen. From there, select MagicBand+ under the "Account" header, and see if your band is already linked. If it isn't, click on the blue plus sign at the top right of the screen and follow the instructions for linking your MagicBand+.

If your MagicBand+ is already linked, click on it, and this will bring up all the available tickets in your account that it can be linked to. (Since I handle all of my family's tickets, I can see many tickets available for linking.) Select the ticket and click the blue "Reassign" button, and you should be all set! Please note that you can only assign one ticket per MagicBand+, so if you'll be using a standard admission ticket or Magic Key at any other point of your trip, you will need to follow the process above to reassign it to that ticket.

Ariel, once you've ensured that your MagicBand+ is linked to your ticket, you should be good to go! You can use a MagicBand+ for entry into the theme parks (valid ticket and reservation required), assign Disney PhotoPass pictures, and scan it for Lightning Lanes. For Disneyland's 70th Anniversary,  there are also some super fun MagicBand+ interactives inside Disneyland Park. Find the full list of locations on the Disneyland website or in the Disneyland App!

I hope this information helps, Ariel. If you have any more questions, we would be happy to help!

    See you in the parks,
    Melissa
