Hey Howdy Hey Jodie and welcome to planDisney!
In just a few days, you will be on your Magical vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort, how incredibly exciting! Thank you for dropping by with your question about
Lightning Lane Multi Pass. Let's go over your options as well as the details of using Lightning Lanes on your upcoming vacation.
When purchasing Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you will do this through your My Disney Experience app. You can purchase one Multi Pass option per person in your party per day. You will select the theme park for which you want to purchase the pass and then select your three options of attractions to experience during your visit. I am sorry to say that with Multi Pass, you can only buy one pass per person, per day. Just because you have to select three attractions does not mean that would be it for the day though.
With Multi Pass, when you tap into the attraction to redeem your first Lightning Lane, you will be given another one to book as long as there is availability. This works the same way throughout your whole trip: redeem one and then book another. This process is repeated until the day is done, you've experienced all the attractions or there is no longer any availability for any attraction left to experience. This should give you the ability to experience more than just the attractions you booked when purchasing but again would depend on availability.
The other really cool part about Multi Pass is that it will work with more than one park in a day. So say you have the Park Hopper Option on your theme park tickets and start your day in Disney's Hollywood Studios. You can visit the park, redeem your first Lightning Lane and then make another Lightning Lane selection for a different park you plan to hop over to later that day. There is no extra cost for that option and can be a great tool to get a lot done in a short period of time!
Another option you can utilize during your vacation is the purchase of a
Lightning Lane Single Pass. These passes are reserved for the most popular attractions in each park that are not available with a Multi Pass option. Attractions such as TRON Lighcycle / Run in Magic Kingdom or Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in EPCOT are a couple of your options. You can purchase a specific ride time for these attractions to complement what you have booked with Multi Pass.
Your other option is the
Lightning Lane Premier Pass. This option is available for Guests staying at a Disney Resort Hotel or a few other qualifying resorts. This is Multi Pass without a need for reservations. This will allow you access to one experience at each Lightning Lane offered throughout the park on the day of your visit. The best part is that no reservation is needed. After you purchase, feel free to visit any attraction and tap into the touch points to redeem your experience. No need to book a time!
So there you have it, Jodie. A lot of options and details for how to navigate your way through the parks on your upcoming visit. If you have any other questions, please let us know, we are always happy to help!
To Infinity and Beyond,
Nick
