As someone who likes to fit as much magic as possible into every park day, I’m glad you plan on utilizing
Disney Genie+ service and
Individual Lightning Lanes during your upcoming trip. You have one hour from the start of your Lightning Lane’s arrival window to return and experience the attraction. If, for some reason, the arrival window you selected will no longer work for a Genie+ Lightning Lane, you can modify it from within your
My Disney Experience mobile app. Simply click on the three dots next to the Lightning Lane you wish to change in your Tip Board to modify the experience. You’ll see a screen with updated times for your current selection or other available attractions you can change to when you select "Modify Plan." You cannot modify an Individual Lightning Lane’s return time, but you can always stop by a
Guest Experience Team location (look for the blue umbrellas) for help if something major comes up.
The beauty of a Lightning Lane entrance is that it cuts down the time you spend waiting in line significantly, but that often means you are sacrificing part of the queue in the process. For example, the standard queue in
Peter Pan’s Flight takes you through John, Michael, and Wendy Darling’s nursery with some interactive experiences. You won’t be privy to any of this in the Lightning Lane queue, but you also won’t be waiting 45 minutes in line. It’s a trade off, but, in my opinion, it’s worth it in most cases.
