If I purchase an internet package aboard the Disney Wish, will it only work for one device, like my iPhone, or will I be able to connect my children’s tablets as well?

Ahoy Mary and welcome back to planDisney! While some prefer being able to disconnect from the outside world while on a Disney cruise, as a father of two little ones I also understand the need to stay connected to keep kiddos entertained and occupied! Now, let’s get you signed-on by answering your question!

Mary, when purchasing a wireless internet package, prices are generally per device and you can choose the number of concurrent devices you want to have wireless internet access when purchasing access. That means if you’d like access for just one device at a time, you can do so and activate it for your own phone. Then, when you’d like to unplug or if your children want to watch something on their device, you can transfer access to one of their devices. Alternatively, if you anticipate needing internet access simultaneously, I suggest getting access for each device.

Currently, Disney Cruise Line offers two options for wireless internet access while aboard your cruise. The first option is the Internet Package, suitable for web browsing, e-mail access, and short-form videos on social media platforms. The second option is the Internet + Streaming Package. As its name implies, this allows for higher speeds to stream video content from providers such as Disney+, ESPN+, Hulu, and more. You can also stream audio content from streaming platforms as well.

Don’t forget, Mary, that Disney cruises provide different on-screen and off-screen entertainment options for our little ones. You can often find some of the latest Disney releases still being shown in theaters aboard the ships. Staterooms also have a limited selection of movies and shows to watch as well. And don’t forget Disney’s Oceaneer Club where little ones can immerse themselves in the worlds of Marvel, Frozen, and Star Wars. Here’s another bonus tip! Before we set sail, we often download movies or shows from Disney+ to ensure that we have some uninterrupted viewing options. This keeps the little ones happy in case Ralph breaks the internet!

Mary, I hope this information is helpful for you as you plan out your Disney Wish sailing! If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me and my fellow panelists here at planDisney!
