If I purchase an individual LL and genie plus, which one should I schedule at 7am first? if I "waste" time at 7:00 doing my individual selection do I give up a chance getting a better time for my first genie plus?

Hi Melissa; welcome back to planDisney! From the looks of it, you've got ambitious plans to hit all the can't-miss attractions throughout the Walt Disney World Resort on your next visit, and I love to talk strategy when it comes to making the most of my days in the parks! Less time standing in those lines makes for more opportunities for magic (and Mickey-shaped snacks!)

Melissa, if you're looking to secure both Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lane selections, the best option is to divide and conquer, if possible! If you're traveling with anyone, have one of you assigned to each task right at 7 AM so you can double up on the magic! I know this isn't always possible, so if you are a solo traveler or the lone magic coordinator for your group, hakuna matata - no worries - I've got some tips that I think will help!

Because Genie+ selections are limited and available to all guests at 7 AM, they can and will sell out, especially for the more popular attractions, so you will want to book this first. It is also a faster booking process than the Individual Lightning Lane selection, so it makes more sense to do this one first. I would recommend knowing exactly which attraction you would like to select first and adding it to your Top Picks in the complimentary Disney Genie service so that it will populate at the top of your Tip Board in the My Disney Experience mobile app. This will make the selection process even faster!

Once you have made this first selection, immediately move to the process for the Individual Lightning Lane. In my experience, because bookings for this are only available to Disney Resort Hotel guests right at 7 AM, there will be more availability throughout the morning to make a selection. With a little faith, trust, and pixie dust, you'll have your first Genie+ selection and your Individual Lightning Lanes booked within minutes!

Melissa, I'd also like to remind you of the opportunity to join the Virtual Queue for select attractions. This is another 7 AM booking window currently available for TRON Lightcycle/Run in Magic Kingdom Park and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in EPCOT. If you are interested in joining the queue for either of these attractions instead of purchasing the Individual Lightning Lane, it should definitely be the first step in your morning routine as they fill faster than you can enter the grid! If you are unsuccessful at 7 AM, you can then opt to purchase an Individual Lightning Lane or choose to try again once inside the park at 1 PM.

Melissa, I am sending lots of Genie+ pixie dust your way that you will get all of your top selections to maximize your day and minimize your wait times! Please come back to planDisney anytime if we can help answer any more of your vacation planning questions!

    See you real soon,
