Welcome back to planDisney, Emma! Thanks so much for coming to us with your question today. I recently entered the Grid at
TRON Lightcycle / Run for the very first time so I can definitely understand how excited you are. I agree that it's worth trying to ride it as many times as possible during your upcoming trip so let's chat about
Virtual Queues,
Individual Lightning Lanes, and the different ways to access this exciting new attraction.
When you purchase an Individual Lightning Lane, you have the opportunity to select what time you want to ride. I rode TRON Lightcycle / Run for the first time right before
Magic Kingdom Park closed, and riding at night is an amazing experience that I certainly recommend. Nighttime rides are very popular, so scroll all the way to the right under "Search by Hour" as quickly as you can during the booking process to get to all those late ride times.
Emma, I'm pleased to tell you that you can hold both an Individual Lightning Lane and a Virtual Queue for TRON Lightcycle / Run at the same time! To make this work, you will probably need two people with connected
My Disney Experience apps: one person securing the Virtual Queue and another person working on the Individual Lightning Lane. If this isn't possible, I recommend trying for the Virtual Queue as soon as the clock strikes 7:00 AM and then moving quickly to the Individual Lightning Lane purchase screen, as the Virtual Queue will likely fill up first.
Have a magical day, Emma!
Jessica
