Can you purchase an individual lightning lane pass after 2pm at a park in which you don’t have a reservation?

    Hi Kathy,

Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for asking us a question!

Although it took me a bit of time to get used to the system, I’ve really come to appreciate the flexibility that the new Disney Genie+ Service and Lightning Lane entrances have given me to plan my Disney Day. We often get to take last-minute trips to Walt Disney World Resort and, with the previous system, it was often difficult to get priority access to our favourite attractions. This isn’t the case anymore now that everyone has to make their selections on the day of their visit.

Another enhancement, at least from my perspective, is the fact that, if you’ve purchased the Park Hopper Option for your Theme Park Ticket, you can choose to make some of your Lightning Lane or Individual Lightning Lane selections in the park that you plan to “hop” to later in the day. Based on my experience, yes, you can absolutely make one of your selections after 2 pm in another park than the one for which you hold a valid Theme Park Reservation.

I hope this answer helps you and your family plan a Disney Day that is practically perfect in every way. Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
