    Hello, if I purchase a gift card at the Disney store in Canada, can it be used on the cruise ship?

    You'll be happy to know that Disney Gift Cards purchased at a Canadian Disney Store are indeed accepted as a form of payment on your Disney Cruise Line vacation. When using one of your gift cards for a purchase, the Canadian amount (based on the current market value/exchange rate) will be converted into a US dollar amount.

    When planning for a Disney Cruise Line vacation, I always try to purchase a few Disney Gift Cards before we travel. I simply purchase a gift card or two with a grocery visit or when I'm out shopping (we no longer have a Disney Store in our area, but they're easy to find in several stores!).

    When you check in at the port, you'll be issued a Key to the World Card.  You'll be asked to provide a valid credit card for stateroom charges at check-in, as Disney Cruise Line uses a cashless system. All onboard purchases will be made using your Key to the World Card, and the charges will be added to your stateroom folio. If you'd like to apply Disney Gift Cards to your stateroom balance, you'll simply need to stop by the Guest Services Desk in the lobby. The gift cards you've applied to your account will be used to take care of these onboard expenses.
