Hello Mark,
Welcome to planDisney! It looks like your magical vacation is right around the corner, so let's get you up to speed on Genie+ and how it can help you enjoy even more on your park hopping day of fun!
If you purchase Genie+ for a day it will be valid for the entire day, even if you hop to another park in the afternoon. You'll just want to make sure when you are booking a Genie+ ride for your second park of the day that you remember to take into account any travel time it may take to get from one park to another. In other words, don't book a Lightning Lane for 2:15 PM in EPCOT if you have a 12:30 PM lunch reservation at
The Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom. Even though you get an hour window and may make it with a lot of running involved, you'll be really rushed.
You can only make one
Genie+ Lightning Lane reservation at a time. Once you check in to your ride, then you can book your next Lightning Lane and continue this way throughout the day. Of course there is an exception to this rule. If you go to book an attraction and the only available times are later in the day, you can book a second Genie+ 120 minutes later. So if at 9 AM you book Jungle Cruise for 1:30 PM, you don't have to wait until 1:30 to book by next Lightning Lane. You'll be able to make another reservation at 11 AM.
Now,
Individual Lightning Lane purchases for those really popular attractions in each park, are separate from Disney Genie+. You can purchase up to two of those per day, and can make those purchases at 7 AM if you are staying at a Disney Resort Hotel or at park opening if you are staying outside of Walt Disney World. So if you are park hopping from Hollywood Studios to EPCOT, you could make an Individual Lightning Lane purchase for
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and
Remy's Ratatouille Adventure AND book your first Genie+ Lightning Lane selection at 7 AM.
Bonus: In addition to helping you skip standby lines, Genie+ gives you access to some fun photo filters. The Baby Yoda filter that you can use in Disney's Hollywood Studios is one of my favorites!
Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!
