    Can I purchase the Genie plus upgrade even though I didn't purchase it with my original tickets OR do I have to wait until the day of our visit to the park?

    Hello Kendall!

    I know you are excited about your upcoming Disneyland Resort vacation! The Disney Genie Service is a free service for all Guests through the Disneyland Mobile App.

    Disney Genie+ Service is an upgrade to the Disney Genie Service, which can be purchased as an add-on when you purchase new Disneyland Resort theme park tickets or as a single-day purchase through the Disneyland Mobile App on the day of your park visit after you enter the park. The price of Disney Genie+ Service will be in the Disneyland Mobile App (prices are subject to change and might be different for the particular day that you purchase Disney Genie+). Disney Genie+ gives you access to Lightning Lanes (the Lightning Lanes have replaced the MaxPass) which will save you time in lines, and so much more such as unlimited Disney PhotoPass digital downloads for the entire day you have purchased Disney Genie+. If you have already purchased your Disneyland tickets, you must buy the Disney Genie+ on the day of your park visit. Individual Lightning Lanes can be purchased for specific attractions in each theme park, such as Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance in Disneyland Park or Radiator Springs Racers in Disney California Adventure Park. Lightning Lane entry for these attractions will only be available to purchase individually and is not included with Disney Genie+ service.
