Hi Miriah, welcome to planDisney!
Put Olaf in summer and he'll be a happy snowman. Put yourself in Walt Disney World Resort in summer and you'll be a puddle of excitement, especially while experiencing
TRON Lightcycle/Run at Magic Kingdom Park!
You're smart to consider
park hopping and purchasing
Disney Genie+ service to maximize the magic on your park days. While it's true that a park can become unavailable for park hopping due to capacity limitations, this has not happened in recent months, not even on the busiest holidays. Should park hopping be temporarily unavailable at a specific theme park, any existing Genie+ Lighting Lane reservations can be changed, canceled, or modified in the "My Day" tab of the My Disney Experience mobile app (three small lines at the bottom right of the home page --> My Disney Genie Day). Keep in mind that tickets with the Park Hopper Option only require Guests to have a
theme park reservation for the first park they enter each day. With four parks to choose from, you have plenty of magical options to choose from each day!
Each Guest over the age of three requires valid admission, a theme park reservation for each park day, and a
method of entry (MagicBand, MagicBand+, Disney MagicMobile pass, or admission card) to enter a theme park. Just to be clear, the barcodes you see in the Tickets and Passes section of the My Disney Experience app are not one of the methods of entry you can scan to enter a theme park. The method of entry used to enter a theme park is also used to scan in at an attraction when redeeming a Genie+ Lightning Lane or Individual Lightning Lane reservation.
My daughter does not like to wear things on her wrist, so I downloaded a
Disney MagicMobile pass for her in the
My Disney Experience mobile app and added it to my Apple Wallet. My son loves to tap into the magic himself and alternates between an admission card, which can be obtained at any Walt Disney World theme park ticket window, and his
MagicBand+, which allows him to be a part of his favorite
nighttime spectaculars.
I hope this information helps guide your next planning steps, Miriah. The only silly questions are the ones you don't ask. Hope to
hear from you again soon!
Choose magic,
Jennifer
