Genie+ continues to change! As you did note, things on June 8th will be changing with the availability of Genie+ advanced purchase. Let's go through these changes and some options on Genie+.
Specifically to your question about canceling your Genie+ purchase, all theme park tickets and add-on sales are nonrefundable. So if you did make the advanced purchase, you would not be able to cancel it. This process will be changing on June 8th so the advanced purchase of Genie+ would not be available after this date. Genie+ will be available for same-day purchase thereafter.
The option to add on Genie+ a la carte has been one of the many benefits of this service. You can purchase Genie+ for the day you think you would need it and you could use your first day as a "trial run" to see if it is something you feel you would benefit from purchasing. Purchasing on the day of would be easy to do from your
My Disney Experience app starting at 7:00 a.m. EST if you were staying at the
Disney Resort Collection hotel. At that same time, you can also start to make your Lightning Lane selections for your top "Must-Do" attractions in the parks.
Some of the other benefits of Genie+ help to make your time in the parks a little more Magical! You will have access to special
photo lenses as well as
Audio Tales in the parks. Have you ever wondered what you would look like as a Genie? Well, with these fun photo lenses, you will be able to get an idea and some other fun options. Audio Tales are inspired by some of the Imagineering Field Guides to give you more depth and details as to what you see, hear, smell and experience in the parks! These options can add another layer to the fun you will experience in the parks and are included with the Genie+ purchase!
