When I purchase Genie+ for myself and my wife and SIL, are we able to reserve different rides at the same time? For example, can I reserve Toy Story for 9am for me, my wife Dumbo at 9am and my SIL Space Mountain at 9am?

    Hi Jerry, welcome to planDisney!

Congrats on making it to the single digits of your Walt Disney World Resort vacation countdown. I can assure you all of your planning efforts are about to pay magical dividends as you prepare to fly the Millennium Falcon and rock out with the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Disney Genie+ service gives Guests access to Lightning Lane entrances at over 40 attractions throughout the four theme parks. You can purchase Disney Genie+ service via the Tip Board of the My Disney Experience mobile app (three small lines at the bottom right of the home page --> Tip Board) for anyone on your Family and Friends List with a theme park reservation. I recommend purchasing by 6:45 a.m. so you can book your first Genie+ Lightning Lane attraction at 7:00 a.m. on the dot. When you make a Genie+ Lightning Lane reservation, you are given the next available arrival time, which is a 60-minute window. You can book your next Genie+ Lightning Lane attraction as soon as you've tapped in at your first attraction or at the time listed on your Tip Board banner. To maximize the magic of Genie+, it's best to book your next attraction as soon as you are able.

Generally speaking, individuals in your party can book different Genie+ Lightning Lane attractions with the same or similar arrival windows. Here's the catch - arrival windows for each attraction fill up at different speeds, so you won't know which attractions are booking for overlapping arrival times until it's actually time to book. If booking different attractions at the same time is the priority, my best tip is for everyone to peruse arrival windows on the My Disney Experience mobile app together and book separately. Here's an example of what that could look like on a Magic Kingdom Park day.

    • 6:45 a.m. - Using your My Disney Experience mobile app, you purchase Disney Genie+ service for you, your wife, and your sister-in-law.
    • 7:00 a.m. - You, your wife, and your sister-in-law use your My Disney Experience mobile apps to book separate Genie+ Lightning Lane attractions (Tip Board --> scroll to desired attraction --> Click "LL Disney Genie+" button.) Let's imagine you get Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin for 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m., your wife gets Dumbo the Flying Elephant from 9:15 a.m. - 10:15 a.m. and your sister-in-law gets Space Mountain for 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
    • 9:30 a.m. - thanks to overlapping arrival windows, everyone experiences their desired attractions at the same time.
    • ~10:00 a.m. - as soon as everyone's back together again, peruse the next available arrival windows on your Tip Board and reserve separately or together, as desired.
In case it's helpful, something else to keep in mind is that it's possible to modify existing Genie+ Lightning Lane selections in case your arrival windows aren't initially a match.
