How do we purchase genie+ and a large group? We want to pay separately, but we will ride together.

Hi, Angela thank you for visiting us at planDisney!

This group outing already sounds like a lot of fun. Visiting the Walt Disney World Resort with your family or friends is special and the more the merrier. Planning is kind of our thing here and your visit is around the corner so let's get started on how you should get your group situated. The My Disney Experience App is where you all should start. If you haven't already created an account this App is required to purchase and use Disney's Genie+ Service. Once the whole group has it downloaded you should link your tickets and make sure you have made theme park reservations for the day you intend on visiting. You can then add each person to your "Family and Friends List." Adding them will allow you to manage their plans. On the day of your visit, each person can purchase Genie+ in the morning, I always do it around 6:30 a.m. so I am ready to go to select my first Lightning Lane selection for 7 a.m. Make sure the day before you add everyone to "My Party" so on the morning of you can get that first selection without fumbling through who is riding that early morning hard-to-get attractions.

Genie+ is my favorite way to enjoy the parks instead of waiting in lines. Most guests skip 2-3 attraction waits using this service. If you watch to see what shorter waits are near your Lighting Lane selections you can sometimes get one or two attractions in while you wait for your time to come to enter the Lighting Lane return time. Another excellent way to maximize this service is simply planning out your next move. For example, when we get hungry we check to see what we want to stamp out hunger with a snack or meal. If you know you are about to take a load off and sit down and eat for nearly 45 minutes to an hour, check to see what attractions have a return time of an hour away and book that experience/attraction. And you have an hour window to return so it makes you not have that rushing feeling after you just ate. Take your time and enjoy the walk through the park and hold someone's hand if it's appropriate. These are memories you will not forget, and hopefully neither will they.

I hope this information is helpful and you get to ride all the things together. remember to stay hydrated, all food locations have free water and you don't have to be purchasing anything. Visit us again if you have any other planning needs.

    See ya real soon,
