Do I have to purchase extra tickets for New Year’s Eve ?

    Hello Maria!

Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for sending your question to us. You must be so excited to ring in 2025 in the Most Magical Place on Earth. Let's talk about having a happy New Year in Walt Disney World.

Good news! You do not need to purchase special or extra tickets to visit the theme parks on New Year's Eve. Standard theme park admission will be just fine. Select restaurants and resorts host exclusive ticketed events, and you can learn about those as details regarding this year's holiday offerings are revealed on the Disney Parks Blog.

December 31 is one of the busiest days of the year in Walt Disney World, so I'll share a few tips for enjoying a jolly holiday.

*Consider purchasing Lightning Lane passes to bypass standby lines at popular attractions. Queues can get quite lengthy on major holidays!

*Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT typically feature special fireworks to celebrate the end of another year. These nighttime spectaculars are popular, so secure a viewing spot early.

*Reserve a table service meal to take a break from the holiday hustle and bustle and give your feet a rest.

*Winter evenings in Florida can be chilly. Pack sweatshirts (or go shopping for them once you arrive) to stay warm throughout the festivities.

I hope this is helpful, Maria. Please reach out again if there is anything else we at planDisney can do to make your holiday merry and bright. Thanks again for visiting us, and have a magical day!
