Ahoy there, Jeanie! Welcome to planDisney.
Disney Cruise Line does not have drink packages the way other cruise lines do. The neat thing about Disney Cruise Line is that most non-alcoholic beverages available onboard are included in the price of your sailing, whereas other cruise lines tend to charge for fountain drinks. On each Disney ship, you can have unlimited water (that actually tastes good!), brewed coffee, tea, sodas, and juices throughout the day from the buffet, beverage stations on the pool deck and in the dining rooms. However, if you order a canned soda or bottled water at one of the bars or lounges, you will be charged a fee. Specialty coffees such as espressos, mochas or lattes will incur a cost. Canned sodas or bottled water sold at the concession stands (such as outside the Walt Disney Theater) will also cost extra.
In terms of
alcohol, Disney Cruise Line allows Guests over the age of 21 to bring a maximum of 2 unopened bottles of wine or champagne (no more than 750 mL each) or 6 beers (no more than 12 ounces each) onboard. On Embarkation Day, be sure to place these items in your carry-on bags and not in your checked luggage.
If you enjoy beer, you may want to consider the
Beer Mug Savings Package. Currently, it costs $15.25 (plus 18% service charge; prices subject to change) and you’ll get a beer mug that is a nice keepsake. You can take the mug to any onboard bar and get a 21-ounce beer refill for the price of a 16-ounce. If you don’t want to lug around a beer mug, you’ll be given a beer mug token which you can redeem at a bar when you’re ready for your next round.
Before you cruise, you can also check out the
Onboard Gifts section. There are wine packages (ranging from 3 to 7 bottles, classic or premium) that can be purchased prior to your cruise to enjoy at dinner. You can also wait until you're on the ship and ask your dining room servers about the wine packages. If you can’t finish the bottle in one night, you can either take it with you back to your stateroom to enjoy or your dining room servers will save it for the next night’s dinner. If you are unable to drink all your wine, you’re allowed to carry up to 2 bottles of wine off the ship.
I hope this helps, Jeanie, as you continue to plan your upcoming 4-night cruise. If you have more questions, please don’t hesitate to visit us on planDisney again.
Hope to SEA ya real soon,
Kiki
