Greetings, Marianne and welcome to
planDisney!
Spreading the magic of Disney is one of the best gifts ever, how very thoughtful and generous of you! I wish we were gifted Walt Disney World Resort theme park tickets when we were married instead of a toaster!
Marianne, to purchase
Walt Disney World Resort theme park tickets, after signing into your Disney account please select the
Theme Park Tickets dropdown beneath the
Parks & Tickets tab on the main page. Once you have decided on the ticket types and are ready to pay for the tickets you will see the option to select “This order will be a gift”. From that point you will be asked to enter the gift recipient’s name as written on their valid government-issued photo ID. Once your order is confirmed you will be emailed a gift receipt which may take up to 24 hours to arrive – check all email folders as sometimes these confirmations like to land in the spam or junk folders. I always like to take a screenshot of my confirmation page for extra peace of mind. As soon as you receive the confirmation email, you can then forward it to the gift recipient via email, or you may wish to print it and present it to the recipient in person. You also have the option to have the physical theme park ticket cards mailed to you to then present as a gift (please note that shipping fees will apply).
Marianne, let the recipient know that they should
associate or link their new tickets to their Disney account and as soon as they are able, they should secure their required
Disney Park Pass Reservations for each valid day of admission as this is the method of visiting the theme parks at this time.
To access their theme park tickets they have the option of creating a
Disney MagicMobile pass to store their tickets in their digital wallet on their mobile device, they can use a valid
MagicBand, or if they want a physical ticket card they are welcome to visit the will-call ticket booth located at the entrance of the theme parks, they can visit the
Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs, or any
Guest Relations along with their valid government-issued photo ID and a copy of the gift receipt. For any minors, a parent or guardian must accompany them and be prepared to present valid government-issued photo ID and the gift receipt for the minor.
Thank you for stopping by planDisney, Marianne, I hope this information is helpful. We look forward to offering further assistance soon.
Best Disney Wishes from a fellow Canadian Disney fan!
