Hi Lesa!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney! We're so glad you're hEAR. Thank you so much for sending this
Disneyland Resort shopping question to us!
I'm from Texas and in the South we have a saying: "If it's not moving, monogram it!" Clothes, coffee mugs, and even my pillowcases are all named after me. I think the only way to improve upon my moniker is if it's somehow Mickey-related, and I love the in-park personalization stations. Officially, the rules are that items have to be brand-new, with receipts, purchased in the parks, and the customizations have to be done same-day of purchase. I actually had problems once with a shirt that I purchased as part of a special pre-release in
Disney California Adventure Park but tried to take over to
Disneyland Park to have 'grammed because the line was too long in DCA; supposedly these requirements are in place so that Mickey can replace your item or start over in the off-chance that something is messed up during the process. However, it's worth asking, especially if you see the letterman jacket for sale in the shop or park.
Did you know that
ShopDisney.Com has a whole 'personalization shop' of all kinds of goodies that you can customize? And have you seen the hand-lettering stations at the brand new
Plaza Point Holiday Shop? Some very talented calligraphers can very beautifully add your name in paint to almost anything - from leather or plastic ear hats or headbands to the glossy complimentary celebration buttons. And best of all is that these only cost a few dollars per name!
I hope that you're able to add your letters to your
letterman jacket, Lesa! Be sure to follow the
official planDisney Instagram account for even more tips and tricks. And if you have any more Disneyland Resort planning or shopping or dining or hotel or Magic Key or parking or any other Disney Parks questions, We're All Ears!
