Hi Jill,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for asking us a question!
During one of my visits to Walt Disney World Resort this year, we were with someone who was eligible for Disney’s
Disability Access Service (DAS) and I can’t tell you what a difference it made for that person to be able to enjoy the Parks. On her first visit, pre-DAS, she would normally get quite overwhelmed in crowds and with wait times, to the point where she would just enter, say, Magic Kingdom Park for about 15 minutes and then immediately ask to leave. This time, we were able to do so many things and really have her enjoy the parks at HER pace. It was simply magical to behold!
From what I understand, even when Theme Park Reservations will no longer be required for date-based tickets next year, Guests who wish to
pre-register for this service will need to have valid
Theme Park Tickets associated with their
My Disney Experience account. You’ll therefore need to purchase your tickets before registering up to 30 days before your visit.
Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions about
visiting the Disney Parks for Guests with disabilities. We’re always happy to help!
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
