If I purchase Disney tickets and the park gets closed for covid, will I get reimbursed? Also if I purchase tickets from a third party and have a reservation, and the park closed because of covid, would I get reimbursed?

    Welcome to planDisney, Bridgett!

I am happy to hear that you are considering a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. You will soon find out that the magic is stronger than ever at The Most Magical Place on Earth!

Last year, Disney extended the expiration date for tickets impacted by the temporary closure. Those unable to redeem admission by the updated expiration date can apply amounts paid towards purchasing new theme park tickets, subject to terms and conditions. When you purchase tickets now, all options are nontransferable and nonrefundable. Please note that theme parks, attractions and other offerings are subject to availability, closures and change or cancellations without notice or liability.

While I hope the unprecedented times we went through last year are now behind us for good, we cannot, unfortunately, predict what may happen in the future. Should there be any unexpected changes and updates, I believe the Walt Disney World Resort will once again assist Guests and advise them how to proceed with tickets and reservations. If you purchase tickets or a vacation package from a third-party, they will be responsible for assisting you. In this case, Disney is unable to access your tickets or vacation package details to proceed with modifications.

As you prepare for your visit, remember that to enter a park both valid admission and a Disney Park Pass reservation for the same park on the same date are required. I recommend checking theme park availability online before purchasing tickets and keeping the latest version of the My Disney Experience mobile app to have all details of your visit at your fingertips.

Thank you for stopping by, Bridgett! I hope this information is helpful and that you stop by real soon for more tips and advice.

    Best magical wishes,
    Thiana
