Hiya Crystal! Welcome to planDisney!
I am sorry you can’t make your
Walt Disney World vacation as originally planned, but don't worry. You can make plans to visit The Most Magical Place On Earth at a later date and use your tickets then.
If you log into your
My Disney Experience app, select the menu icon (three horizontal lines in the bottom right corner), select “My Tickets and Passes,” and then select the ticket you’re unable to use, you should see fine print under the “Valid Ticket Dates” section. The fine print states, "after the expiration date, the price paid for a wholly unused ticket can be applied to the purchase of a new ticket with an equal or higher price.”
I would start by contacting the Existing Tickets phone number under the Reservations and Tickets section of the
Walt Disney World Help Center website to speak to a Cast Member about your options. If you already know the dates you would like to change your trip to, they will be able to assist. If there is a price change, the value of your existing tickets will be applied to the new tickets, and you will be responsible for any balance. If you are unsure when you can reschedule your vacation, a note can be put on your account for future reference.
I’d also recommend taking a screenshot of the ticket(s) you are unable to use, ensuring the barcode and 12-, 17-, or 20-digit ID Number are visible for safekeeping. Although Cast Members can look at your MyDisney account to see what tickets may have lapsed and any notes that have been added, it is always smart to have this information handy, just in case.
I hope this answer helps, Crystal, that you can reschedule your visit sooner rather than later and experience all of Walt Disney World's magic. Please visit us at
planDisney again if you have any additional questions. We would be happy to help!
TTFN!
