Hello there Michelle,
Welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad you stopped by with your question and are looking at visiting the Disneyland Resort next month!
While you technically could wait until the day of your visit and purchase a theme park ticket at one of the ticket windows, I would strongly recommend not waiting. To enter one of the parks, you need valid
theme park tickets and a
theme park reservation for each day you plan to visit.
While you can purchase theme park tickets at just about any time, it's the theme park reservations that you're usually planning around and are subject to availability. If there are no more theme park reservations for a given date then you would not be able to visit the parks on that day. For example, if you were in California today and wanted to visit the parks, you would not be able to because there are no available theme park reservations through the end of this week.
Looking at the
Theme Park Reservation Calendar, it looks like the visit date that you selected when you submitted your question currently has availability at both parks for reservations, but they can book up quickly! My recommendation would be if you know you want to visit the Happiest Place on Earth then purchase your theme park tickets today through the
Disneyland Resort website, and in the process, you'll be able to make your theme park reservations so you know you'll be able to visit on your planned dates.
I hope you have such a fun time visiting the Disneyland Resort in the midst of the
Halloween season, Michelle! Thanks again for your question.
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
