Hi Mary,
Welcome back to planDisney and thank you for asking us a question, my fellow Canadian!
I was so happy to hear that the
Disney Dining Plan would be back for visits to Walt Disney World Resort in 2024. I know that it’s a great way for families to be able to budget for their vacations, which is especially useful for those of us who have to deal with a fluctuating exchange rate when we travel to the United States…
Unfortunately, Guests staying at the
Walt Disney World Swan Hotel aren’t able to add a Disney Dining Plan to their stay. You’ll need to stay at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel in order to be able to purchase one for your upcoming vacation. If you like
Disney’s BoardWalk area, you can always choose to stay at
Disney’s BoardWalk Inn or
Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. They’re within walking distance of the Swan, too!
Another option would be to set a budget for how much you plan to spend on food (or even souvenirs) during your upcoming vacation and then to add that amount to a
Disney Gift Card when you arrive in the United States. I find that’s a great way to shield my vacation budget from the exchange rate and a great way to ensure that my trip family’s spending stays on track, too.
Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions. We’re always happy to help!
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
