    Can we purchase a Disney Dining plan if we are using a Disney timeshare room?

    Hi there Anita,

    Welcome to planDisney and thanks for visiting with a great question about the Disney Dining Plan. The Disney Dining Plan is a great way to budget for a Walt Disney World Resort vacation and have peace of mind knowing there are no surprises when it comes to dining. When purchasing the Disney Dining Plan, my family enjoys trying restaurants we haven’t tried yet. We like doing a mix of Character Dining and Table Service dining. 

    There are two types of dining plans offered to Guests: the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan and the Disney Dining Plan. Either can be purchased by Guests staying at a Disney Resort Collection hotel. I’m happy to share that yes, Guests staying on a Disney Vacation Club reservation can also add the Disney Dining Plan to their hotel reservation. There are a few things to note:

    • to add the Disney Dining Plan to your reservation, you’ll need to chat with DVC Member Services. They can add whichever dining plan you choose to your resort reservation.
    • Neither Disney Dining Plan cannot be added to your reservation if you have already checked in. Please add your Dining Plan before two days before check-in. 
    • If purchasing the Disney Dining Plan, all Guests on the reservation must purchase the same type of Disney Dining Plan. 

    I hope this information is helpful to your vacation planning. Remember that you can make dining reservations for the duration of your trip (up to 14 days) 60 days from the date of your check-in.
