How do I purchase discount tickets for my sister

    Hello, Patti!

Thank you for bringing your question to planDisney. It’s always exciting to plan a magical visit for family, and I’d be happy to clarify the requirements for purchasing Florida Resident discounted tickets for your sister.

To take advantage of Florida Resident discounts, each adult using a discounted ticket must be a Florida resident. This means that if your sister is over 18, she must also be a Florida resident and will need to show proof of Florida residency when activating her ticket. Acceptable forms of residency include a valid Florida driver’s license, Florida state ID, or Florida-based military ID. Unfortunately, without proof of residency, adults cannot use Florida Resident discounted tickets.

However, if your sister is a minor, you can indeed purchase a Florida Resident discounted ticket for her using your own Florida ID. As her guardian, your proof of residency will allow her to enjoy the Florida Resident discount without needing her own ID.

You can purchase these tickets either online through the official Walt Disney World Resort website, or in person at a theme park ticket window or the Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs.

I hope this clears things up, Patti! Please feel free to come back to planDisney with any additional questions. Wishing you and your sister a truly magical experience at Walt Disney World Resort!
