Can you purchase a dining plan, if you are visiting, but not staying at a Disney resort?

    Hi Leanne,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question.

I’ll admit it, one of my favourite things to do is eat and there is no shortage of delicious treats and meals at Walt Disney World Resort! The Disney Dining Plan is a delicious way to eat your way through the Theme Parks, but it must be purchased as part of a Disney Resort Hotel Package

Although you can’t add a Disney Dining Plan to your upcoming vacation, a great way to budget for your meals would be to purchase a Disney Gift Card in US dollars (when you arrive for your vacation) and to use the money on that as your “food budget” for your stay. Don’t forget that meals are often huge in several Disney dining locations so don’t be afraid to share with other people in your party! And don’t forget to make your reservations for all table service restaurants you’d like to visit up to 180 days before your arrival.

I hope my answer helps you plan your upcoming visit. Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
