If I purchase the dining plan do I have to pay anything for the meals that I eat?

Hi, Lisa!   If you stick to the Dining Plan without ordering extras (appetizers, alcoholic beverages, any additional add-ons) then your only expense will be gratuities on your table service meals.   If you have the Quick Service Plan (no table service meals in this plan) then there will be no added costs if stay within your credits.

Click HERE to view the different Dining Plans to see which will best suit your family.   The Base Disney Dining Plan seems to be the most popular.

Just to give you a ballpark figure so you can budget your vacation, my family of 4 had the Base Dining Plan on our last trip, and our tips for our Table Service meals were usually around $15 - $20 per meal.   This is based on about an 18% tip.   Hope this helps as you plan your magical vacation in WDW!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
