If you purchase the dining plan on which day do you start to be charged? On check in day even though it is not until 3pm or on the first full day?

    Hi Simone!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I enjoy using the Disney Dining Plan as it offers great value across the Walt Disney World Resort restaurants, and can be used in many locations in all four theme parks, the Disney Resort hotels and select locations at Disney Springs.  You will receive your dining plan entitlements per person, per night of stay, and with the Disney Dining Plan this will be one Quick-Service Meal, one Table-Service Meal, two Snacks and a refillable drink mug which may be refilled at any of the beverage stations at all the Disney Resort hotels with hot drinks such as coffee, tea and hot chocolate or a variety of fountain drinks.  The dining plans are very flexible and can be used in whichever way you choose - maybe using more dining credits on one day, and less on another, as long as you have enough credits left on your account. You can begin using your dining plan from time of check-in (if online check-in has been used, this will be from 7.00am on that day) until midnight on your day of departure.

Dining reservations are recommended for Table-Service meals, and these can be made up to 180 days in advance, either online or by using your My Disney Experience mobile app.

Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions.  We will be happy to help you plan your magical vacation to Walt Disney World.
