Hi there, Mark, and welcome to planDisney! It sounds like you're planning an exciting vacation to Walt Disney World Resort, and I'm so happy that you've stopped by with this great question today. It's no secret that I love using a dining plan during vacation, so you've come to the right place!
Mark, I know you're hoping to see if you can purchase a
dining plan for only part of your visit. At this time, your dining plan will need to be purchased for the duration of your
Disney Resorts Collection hotel stay, so your dining plan would begin on your day of check-in and end at midnight on the day you check out. If you happen to be doing a "split stay," where you stay at two different Disney Resorts Collection hotels, you could opt to add a dining plan to just one of those reservations. Just remember that you'll only be able to use those meals and snacks from the day you check in for that reservation to the day you check out of that particular reservation.
So, if you're weighing the options, I am here to help! The
Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan is awesome for folks who like to be more flexible with their dining decisions during their vacation. There are so many amazing quick-service restaurants throughout Walt Disney World Resort, so you'll have no trouble using those meals and snacks! My personal favorite is the
Disney Dining Plan because I like to have a table service meal each day so that I know I have built-in time to relax around a table full of delicious food with my family. It gives us time to recap our visit and recharge so that we can finish the day strong. Remember that you can make
Advance Dining Reservations up to 60 days before your visit!
Overall, a dining plan helps you to stay in the moment during your vacation because you know you've already taken care of the bill. It gives it more of an all-inclusive feel, and is helpful for planning and budgeting. I also feel like it's a great value for my family! You'll also love having a Resort Refillable Mug throughout your visit to use at your Resort Hotel for everything from coffee to soda to tea. One of my family's favorite bedtime traditions is sipping chamomile tea from our resort refillable mugs while watching the Happily Ever After fireworks show on our Resort Hotel TV.
