If I purchase the Deluxe DDP, can I save my beverage credit from lunch and use later by the pool or must it be used along with the rest of the meal at lunch? I may just drink water from my refillable mug at lunch and want a cocktail by the pool later.

    Hi George,

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.  My family and I love the Deluxe Dining Plan, it is a great way to enjoy the best Walt Disney World Resort has to offer in terms of dining.

When using the Dining Plan, your entitlements for Table-Service and Quick-Service Dining come as a package, so they must be used at the same time. So in other words, if you do not choose a beverage at the time of your meal, the entitlement does not carry over.  We have at times exchanged our drink at Quick-Service Dining Locations for a dessert, however that isn't always guaranteed, it is up to the Cast Member's discretion.  If you are wanting to enjoy a cocktail at the pool, perhaps the best idea would be to order lunch at the Quick-Service Location at your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel and enjoy dining poolside.

While we are enjoying the pool at our Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, I will usually bring my refillable cup and enjoy the refill stations, that are close by.  If I choose to enjoy a cocktail by the pool, I simply add the charge to my MagicBand, so that I do not need to bring anything extra with me to the pool.

I hope you have a magical time at Walt Disney World Resort, George.  Please let us know if you have any other questions, we are always happy to help.
