Can I purchase a same day ticket to a park on that day.

    Hi there, Rosanne!

Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with your question for us.

How exciting that you’re thinking about visiting Walt Disney World Resort! Whether you choose the quintessential Disney experience at Magic Kingdom Park, where our favorite fairytales are brought to life, experience adventures and thrills in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, behold the magic of nature in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park, or travel the world as it sparks your imagination at EPCOT, you’re sure to have the most magical time at The Most Magical Place on Earth!

Roseanne, Guests are able to purchase same-day theme park tickets at Walt Disney World Resort. You can do so on the Walt Disney World Resort website, and there are ticket booth windows located at the entrance of all four theme parks for you to be able to make your purchase, subject to availability. However, please keep in mind that currently, Guests need both a theme park ticket as well as theme park reservations to enter a park through January 8, 2024. If your trip is on January 9, 2024, or after, theme park reservations will no longer be required for date-based tickets. Theme park reservations are subject to availability, so prior to purchasing your ticket, you’ll want to confirm your desired theme park has availability. You can check the Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar here to do this.

Once you’ve confirmed your desired theme park has availability, I recommend purchasing your ticket online and linking it to your My Disney Experience account. If you’re signed into your My Disney Experience account while buying the ticket, they should automatically link. Once you have your ticket linked, please be sure to make your park reservation.

Another note you’ll want to consider is if you’d like to visit one theme park or more. To experience multiple parks, you must purchase your ticket with the Park Hopper Option. After you’ve stepped foot inside the first theme park with which you have a park reservation, you can “hop” to the next theme park anytime after 2 PM, subject to park capacity.

You'll also want to familiarize yourself with the My Disney Experience Mobile App. It'll be your guide during your visit. With it, you can make and modify dining reservations, purchase Disney Genie+ service and make Lighting Lane entrance selections, check on attraction wait times, and so much more!

Wishing you an enchanting visit, Roseanne!
