Welcome to planDisney, Tabitha! I'm so glad to be able to answer your question today.
Your ticket is one of the most important aspects of your trip to Walt Disney World, and I'm happy to walk you through exactly how they work.
Once a multi-day ticket, like a 4-day ticket, is used for the first time, it becomes non-transferable and is linked permanently to the person who used it on that first day. That means if you use the ticket for one person on Day One, only that same person can use the remaining days of that ticket, and you won't be able to reassign it to someone else for the next day. Since tickets are linked to each guest's fingerprint, it's really important that only the original user continues to use it for the rest of the valid days.
If you're not totally sure who will be using the ticket each day, it's better to wait to assign it until you're certain. And if you've already linked your tickets in
My Disney Experience but haven't used them yet, you can still reassign them to someone else. Just pop into
the app and select "Reassign Ticket."
I hope this answers your question, Tabitha, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation!
