What if I purchase a 3-day ticket and then decide to stay an extra day... will I be able to upgrade my ticket to a 4-day ticket or will I have to purchase an additional 1-day ticket? Thanks!

    Hi Ginger!

I've got some good news for you - it should be no problem to add an extra day to your ticket if you decide to extend your visit by an extra day.

To take care of this, you can either go to the ticket booths located outside of the theme parks or you can ask a cast member to assist you at the front desk of your hotel (if you're staying at a Walt Disney World resort hotel). My advice would be to do this before the last day of your ticket just to make sure everything goes off without a hitch.

Three years ago today, I left for a 3-night stay at Walt Disney World that ended up being an 8-night stay. We two back-to-back blizzards blow through the DC area (where I live), so I was stranded with my family in Walt Disney World.  How awesome!!

Speaking from experience, if you decide to extend your stay, I'd recommend shoring up those plans as soon as possible so you won't have to worry about keeping your hotel room for an extra night as well as finding dining reservations.

I hope that helps and I hope you decide to take an extra day to enjoy your visit to Walt Disney World!  Feel free to come back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and ask me any other questions you may have as you get ready for your vacation.

    Thanks!!
