Hello and welcome, Arlene! Thanks for visiting us here at planDisney with your question.
Arlene,
Walt Disney World Theme Park tickets do need to be used within a specific time frame. That time frame is determined by the length of the ticket.
Here is a breakdown of when tickets would need to be used:
1-day – The ticket expires on the selected start date.
2-day – The ticket expires 4 days after the selected start date.
3-day – The ticket expires 5 days after the selected start date.
4-day – The ticket expires 7 days after the selected start date.
5-day – The ticket expires 8 days after the selected start date.
6-day – The ticket expires 9 days after the selected start date.
7-day – The ticket expires 10 days after the selected start date.
8-day – The ticket expires 12 days after the selected start date.
9-day – The ticket expires 13 days after the selected start date.
10-day – The ticket expires 14 days after the selected start date.
So, if you were to purchase a 3-day ticket you would need to use all three tickets 5 days after the first day you entered the Walt Disney World Theme Parks. For the time being, if you want to visit the Walt Disney World Theme Parks for one day each month you will need to purchase a one-day ticket for each time you'd like to go.
On top of your ticket, keep in mind that you'll also need to make
park pass reservations to visit the Walt Disney World Theme Parks. A park pass reservation is basically like a virtual placeholder in line at the theme park you'd like to visit each day. To make park pass reservations, you'll need to purchase a Walt Disney World Theme Park ticket and link it to your MyDisneyExperience account. Then, you'll want to head over to the park pass reservation website. You'll select your travel party, the date on the calendar you'd like to visit and then the theme park. If there is availability, you'll be taken to a confirmation page and you will see your park pass reservation on your itinerary in MyDisneyExperience. Before purchasing your tickets, I highly encourage you to make sure there is availability using the
Walt Disney World availability calendar. Sometimes dates can fill up quickly and I'd hate for you to purchase a ticket and then have nowhere to go.
I hope this helps, Arlene. If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back and
ask me. I'm here to help. Have a great rest of the day!
