Hi Gemma! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your great question about visiting my favourite European holiday destination.
A visit to
Disneyland Paris at anytime of year is brilliant but, I seriously cannot think of anywhere better to ring in the New Year. My family did actually spend New Years Eve at Disneyland Paris once, several years ago and it was a truly amazing experience.
Top Tip - Evenings can get very cold in late December, much like here in the UK, so, you will definitely want to wrap up warm for the occasion. Think hats, scarves, gloves and if you feel the cold, like me, thermals and some hand warmers are a great idea too.
Going back to your question, Gemma, I am super happy to share that no additional ticket will be required in order to visit Disneyland Paris on New Years Eve, this year. If you purchase a 3-Day/2-Park dated ticket for 29/30/31 December 2025, that is all you will need in order to enjoy the New Year celebrations.
Speaking of which, I can tell you that
Walt Disney Studios Park will close at 10pm on New Years Eve but,
Disneyland Park will stay open until 1am where you can expect to see spectacular fireworks over Sleeping Beauty Castle at midnight, extra animations, dance parties and more - all offered at no extra cost.
More detailed information is likely to be made available closer to the time. I would recommend keeping a close eye on the Disneyland Paris website and social media accounts in the run up to your trip.
You can expect Disneyland Park to be extremely busy so, if you want to secure a great location to watch the fireworks from, I'd suggest finding a spot a couple of hours beforehand. My family like to stand behind the low railings, in the castle hub area, facing Sleeping Beauty Castle, closest to the walkway towards Frontierland. This is a great spot as no-one can stand in front of you and there are no trees obscuring your view.
Gemma, did you know that you will also be able to experience all that
Disney Enchanted Christmas has to offer during your visit? This is one of my favourite seasons and runs until 6th January 2026. Be sure to see Mickey's Dazzling Christmas Parade!, the Magical Christmas Tree Lighting and "Let's Sing Christmas!" musical show, whilst you're there. It really is the most magical time of year to visit!
I hope that this has answered your question and that you have the most amazing time, this December. If we can be of any other help with the planning of your trip, please feel free to re-visit us, here at planDisney. There's nothing we love more than chatting about Disneyland Paris.
Wishing you a magical holiday filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
Emma
