Hello, Chantelle! Welcome to planDisney.
From time to time, I tell guests that the time they visit the
Walt Disney World Resort is a great time to visit, and I often admit that I feel that
any time is a great time to visit the resort. But when I truly think about it, the
holiday season really is my favorite season to visit. And the funny part? I've only been once! But I love all things Christmas. And all things Disney. So it just makes sense. The lights, the decor, the treats...I love all of it! So I'm super excited to visit during this season again this year. I can't wait to experience it all...and I can't wait for you to either!
It shouldn't be an issue that you pick up your
theme park tickets at a
Guest Relations location a day after the tickets begin to be active. Just ensure you bring
the proper identification, your confirmation email, and the credit card you used to make the purchase.
Now, let's talk about my favorite activities during the
holiday season at the resort. I've already mentioned the decor and the treats, but there's so much more to love. There are separately ticketed holiday parties,
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom Park and
Disney Jollywood Nights at Disney's Hollywood Studios. The
Disney Resorts Collection Hotels often have some great decor and treats themselves, especially the hotels that typically have gingerbread displays. These usually include
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa,
Disney's Beach Club Resort,
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge,
Disney's BoardWalk Inn,
Disney's Contemporary Resort, and
Disney's Yacht Club Resort. Just make sure to follow along with the
Disney Parks Blog to see where exactly these displays will be this year..and
Disney Eats to see where your next favorite holiday treat might be available. And then there's the
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays with its specialty entertainment and Holiday Kitchens! Ooh, and the
Christmas Tree Stroll at Disney Springs is an often overlooked gem! Okay, I need to stop. Otherwise, this will be the longest post ever posted!
Chantelle, enjoy your holiday visit.
Be sure to reach out again if you have any other questions!
The cold never bothered me anyway,
Matt
