Hey there, hi there, Robbie! You're as welcome as can be here at planDisney!
I couldn't be happier to see that the magic of
Walt Disney World Resort is calling, and you're answering the call by planning a magical adventure at The Most Magical Place on Earth. And since you are considering adding one of the dining plans to your vacation package, your planning is off to a practically perfect (and delicious) start. Food is such an important part of a Disney holiday (or any holiday, for that matter), so let's chat about
dining plans, shall we?!
The dining plans are exclusively available to Guests staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel, and if you add one of the
dining plans to your Walt Disney World vacation package, you will receive meals, snacks and beverages per each night of your stay. Any unused dining credits
will roll over day to day and can be used throughout your stay, however, all credits will expire at midnight on your checkout date. So, unfortunately, you won't be able to use the dining plan on the days you are staying off-property.
Hakuna Matata, Robbie! It means "no worries." I have added a dining plan to only one of my split stays (when staying at two different Resorts) in the past, and I have some tips on how to work it. If you add the Disney Dining Plan to your holiday, I suggest planning your most expensive, per-person, one-credit Table-Service meals (such as character meals) while you are staying at your Disney Resort hotel and using your dining plan. Then, save your less expensive meals for when you are staying off-property and paying out-of-pocket. Bon appetit!
I hope this helps, Robbie, and I hope you have the most magical and memorable adventure, full of food and fun! Feel free to stop by any time with any questions you have. You've got a (foodie) friend in me!
See ya real soon,
Mandy
