If I want to purchase the CA resident park hopper ticket b/c I'm resident but someone in my party is not, can I still purchase a discounted ticket for that person?

Greetings, Angel, and welcome to planDisney! I love that you're looking to visit the Happiest Place on Earth. Tickets are the first step in planning your magical visit, and I'm happy to help you get started.

The CA Resident Park Hopper Ticket Offer provides a great value on three fun-filled days at the Disneyland Resort. However, it's important to note that a government-issued photo ID showing an eligible California address is required to use that ticket for admission. That means the members of your party who are not California residents wouldn't be able to use it. I recommend checking the Disneyland website to see if there are any other ticket discounts they may be eligible for instead.

The next step will be to figure out which dates you'd like to visit. The Disney Parks Blog has a handy calendar that highlights what we have to look forward to throughout the year. One of my favorite annual events is the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival. With a Sip and Savor Pass, you'll have a chance to try foods from different marketplace booths. Cookin' with the Jammin' Chefs is a real highlight – it's a fun little show held in Paradise Gardens Park multiple times a day during the festival. I always stop to watch it!

Keep in mind that anyone in your party eligible to use the CA Resident Park Hopper Ticket Offer will have until May 21, 2026 to do so (subject to reservation availability). The tickets don't have to be used on consecutive dates, meaning visits can be spaced out. But reservations are required, so you'll want to make sure you have your preferred dates secured. If you purchase the tickets on the Disneyland website, you'll make your reservations as part of the purchase process.

My brother was gifted the CA Resident Ticket for his birthday, and he just went with the family today for the first of his three days. Since this ticket is a Park Hopper, our group had plenty of flexibility in how we spent the day. After spending the morning in Disneyland, we switched over to California Adventure in the afternoon to check out the Lunar New Year festivities. I hope you and everyone in your party will have the same chance to make memories in the parks.

Angel, if you think of any other questions, please reach out – we're always happy to help here at planDisney!
