Hey there, Cherri!
I love welcoming a fellow Floridian to planDisney. And I get to talk to you all about Disney PhotoPass! As a local, I like to take my time exploring the theme parks. Sometimes I’m just there to get a bite to eat (like a yummy mint julep from Casey’s Corner) or to pick up merch (so many tempting new Loungefly bags and Minnie ears). But capturing at least one moment with a Disney PhotoPass photographer or on-ride photo is a must-do for me every single trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth.
Here’s good news for you, Cherri: Yes, there is an unlimited
Disney PhotoPass digital downloads option that you can add to your Walt Disney World annual pass. You can’t add it on your own after you’ve completed your annual pass purchase or renewal. So, you’ll need to speak to a Cast Member using the
V.I.PASSHOLDER Hotline in order to add it. Feel free to add it in person as well. A Cast Member at a theme park’s Guest Relations or at the Disney Ticket Center at
Disney Springs can help. Keep in mind that this add-on only lasts for the remainder of your annual pass’s term. I recommend that you add it on as close to the start of your pass’s activation as possible to get the most value.
I like for at least one person in my family to have the photo downloads add-on because there are too many good moments that we want to remember. Make sure you have your physical pass,
MagicBand+, or annual pass downloaded to your digital wallet ready to go, so that you can easily scan for your photos. They will then show up in your My Disney Experience app’s photo gallery. From there, you can select the photo that you’d like to download and hit “download.”
AN EXTRA GEM: Check your
My Disney Experience app often after your visit. Some attractions like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and TRON Lightcycle / Run include videos of your ride experience, too. My son and I checked out TRON’s Ares (red Grid version) last week, but we couldn’t find our video in the photo gallery. If this happens, you can contact Disney PhotoPass Cast Members in the app or by phone call. They are usually pretty quick to retrieve the videos and photos—just give them as many details as possible to find your missing treasures.
Cherri, I hope that you found this answer helpful. You are in for a year full of captured memories and fun surprises! If you have other questions about Disney vacation planning,

Magic always,
LeAndra
