I would like to purchase annual passes. I noticed somewhere that there are blackout dates. Is that correct? If so how do I find out when those dates are? Also, if I am visiting with my family during those blackout dates, how do I get tickets w/o paying 2x?

Hi Allegra! I am a proud holder of the Disney premiere Annual Pass and love everything about it.

There are special times when you can use the Annual Pass discounts for booking resort rooms. There are also black out dates for Florida seasonal pass holders. Those dates as of now are as follows: 3/23/13-4/5/13, 6/8/13-8/15/13, and 12/19/13-1/3/14.

A Disney Annual Pass or Premium and Premiere Annual Passes do not have blackout dates and you are able to use them every day for 12 months at any of the four parks. You can hop from one park to the other in the same day just as a park hopper ticket would work. If you are a Florida Seasonal Pass holder and wish to visit during the black out dates you would be required to purchase a day ticket to visit a park. Florida Seasonal passes are less expensive then the regular passes so actually you wouldn't be paying twice if you had to purchase a day ticket during the blackout period. It makes planning a bit more difficult when trying to coordinate with visiting family members.
