I just purchase annual passes but I will not be there free first visit until October 17. Does my passes start on the day I bought he or my first use?

    Hi, Nicholas! Welcome to planDisney!

Congratulations on purchasing your brand new Florida Resident Annual Pass! I'm sure you can't wait to get your year of magical adventures at the Walt Disney World Resort underway.

When it comes to the start date of your Annual Pass, Hakuna Matata! No worries, Nicholas! Your Annual Pass is activated on the day you use it for the first time to enter a Walt Disney World theme park. Then, the expiration date of the pass will be one year from that date. Also, remember that since you're using a Florida Resident pass, you'll need to provide proof of your residency before it can be activated. You might have already verified your Florida residency online when you purchased your Annual Pass, but if not, just stop by Guest Relations on your way into the theme park with your ID and confirmation email and a Cast Member will be happy to take care of it for you.

Nicholas, this is a practically perfect time to be a Walt Disney World Annual Passholder! We're just days away from the start of The Most Magical Celebration on Earth, and the party won't stop for the next 18 months! I'm so excited for the fun to begin!

I hope this helps you make the most of your Disney days, Nicholas. Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney, and please come see us again if you have any more questions. We're always ready to help other Guests plan their own magic!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
